Not surprised in the slightest by this, I'd say there were plenty of supporters who had already guessed this.
Will this new found unity and team spirit last when the serious stuff starts though? One thing I'd say is that it'll certainly help if the atmosphere at matches improves. I say that knowing that City fans have been put through the wringer in recent years and there is a widespread cynicism regarding the club and manager especially which I share to a large degree, but I hope that the crowd can get behind the team this year if the players are seen to be putting the effort in.

Glad its been sorted out. Hopefully it doesn't go back down to a boring quiet dressing room at the start of the season as we don't have the easiest of starts.
It's basic team management to have staff that get on and have abeuzz, it's the sort of thing a manager at McDonald's all the way up to a FTSE 100 company would be expected to have in their team, a sense of being a team. A collective. it means your team will be able to operate smoother and get around problems better. It's what all those silly away day team builder exercises are all about. How Tan and Ole let it get to that stage is beyond me.
Stripping the team of its much respected captain, a man who helped get the family feel within the squad kicked out was probably one of the main reasons. I wouldn't be surprised if that along with Tan going into the dressing room are the 2 main reasons for the dressing room being so flat.
Terrible management as well as club management.... Suppose it wouldn't be the city we love without a còck up.
Without wishing to sound itk, I was talking to a player a couple of weeks ago, who pointed out that during our season in the prem, all they could hear from the terraces were the away fans.
"Battered on the pitch, battered off it" was a phrase he used.
Difficult to argue with that tbf, although clearly we had the perfect storm of disillusioned long term fans combined with new fans more interested in seeing their heroes from Man U.
No excuses this season, we have to get behind the team.
