    Re: Labour leadership voters

Corbyn for leader, no other nomination.

Creasy, Eagle and Watson for deputy in that order, didn't rank the other two.

I'm hoping Eagle gets the shadow chancellor gig if Corbyn is elected. I think she'd do very well.

There's a reason, in my mind, that people have deserted labour in recent years, and continuing the status quo isn't going to remedy that. Maybe Corbyn isn't the answer but neither is being Tory lite.

He has encouraged more people to take an interest, and become involved, in politics than anyone I can think of for a number of years. He seems to appeal to quite a broad church of people. As John Curuddas said recently, both his son and his mother have rejoined the Labour party because of the Corbyn campaign so there is hope.

I think he could be the shot in the arm that mainstream politics needs. Has used his winning speech to have a go at Murdoch's empire - so it will be interesting.

My opinion for what it is worth, the guy who wouldn't stand as he was looking after his kids after his wife had died sounded like a winner to me.

    Don't remember for deputy tho

    Re: Labour leadership voters

Nice to see people voting for someone they believe in rather than the person that gives them the best chance of winning regardless of policy.

With so many apparently protest voting in the general election because of a percieved lack of any choice, it'll be interesting to see how this affects the UKIP vote.

We'll have our first UKIP AMs this time next year I'd imagine.

It did but initially because of Blair's charisma and because the Tories were a mess

Potentially, but they need to get core voters back onside. If they carried on as Tory Lite they would continue to haemorrhage voters. This will get the disillusioned left back on side.
