Whittingham was largely anonymous in the first half but got more into it 2nd half when not so deep, and one for the collectors; a great tackle in the 84th minute.
    Ledley?

That is what you call a hard ground out victory....
    I'd go along with that

When are City going to get a dynamic, pacy midfield ball carrier who can run at and pass through the opposition rather than only a central defender (Connelly) trying to do it?
    I said pacy

Two assists from Ameobi - surely must keep his place for Hull midweek

He looked knackered after each of his mazy runs.
It does prove your point - but I'm just glad we seem to be creating a hell of a lot more chances than at any point last season. Long may it continue - and once again well done Mr Slade. I absolutely hated him last season - thought he was a terrible manager, but the introduction of Ameobi changed the game and we are now averaging the magical 2 points per game, with one of the best defensive records in the league and a very healthy plus 5 goal difference.

Again I was surprised he stayed on the pitch until the end - had an awful game. I would have swapped him for Noone fairly soon into the second half.

Marshall, Fabio, Conolly, Whitts and Ameobi were the standout players for me.
So if they were all outstanding does that mean none of them where? Just kidding.
