Possibly the classiest England batsman of my lifetime.
His brother Ken, who also captained Gloucestershire, passed away only a week or two ago.

RIP Tom - a pleasure to watch. I remember him moving from Gloucestershire to Worcestershire. Top players moving Counties was somewhat unusual in those days.
I note from his stats that he had 1 first class stumping so he must have been a bit more versatile than I thought. His only test victim as a bowler was Colin McDonald I think
