    Only this afternoon my daughter was asking me what she could get me for xmas, but I couldn't think of anything.

    Forgotten: The untold story of D-Day's black heroes, at home and at war, by Linda Hervieux

    New book and looks like a good read, especially chapter seven about when the black G.I.'s came to Britain and how they were warmly welcomed, especially in Wales, when they arrived off the trains in Wales they were hugged and presented with flowers and gifts by the locals. One of them said "we were treated like kings", a far cry from the life they had in the states at that time.
