The fact his name is even in the frame suggests that maybe either he wants to leave or City are prepared to let him go.

Slade has done well enough here that he's pretty much guaranteed a, lower end, championship club next.
I agree- he's not popular with Cardiff fans and probably never will be- but I'd guess outside of Cardiff he would be judged as having done a decent job here.

Bellamy is a shrewd man indeed. He knowns that a managerial profile has to be built on succcess and the first club you choose is an important decision. The expectations now in terms of working for Tan is like someone demanding that you ejaculate in two minutes. Only to then find out that having agreed to the deal you you are going to start off sitting in a seat, with both hands chained behind you to the seat, and all you have to look at is a magazine cut out of Diane Abbott.
ii) rightly or wrongly Tan does indeed have a poor reputation as an owner and someone as clever as Bellamy could easily manipulate the press into arguing any failure was totally Tan's fault and not his own so his reputation would not be hurt too much. I agree Bellamy would be too much of a gamble. I can't imagine his volatile nature working as a manager. He'd fall out with half the team in no time.

One assumes you have taken a visit to your generous bookmakers to take advantage of this understanding?
Mind you, as Luton get bigger crowds, will probably pay Slade more and show real ambition in progressing, you can argue it's an upward move.

It might make sense, after all, for RS to be looking at other jobs.
Tan may be reluctant to sack 'his man', but may have made it clear that Slade can apply for other jobs ( therefore leaving Cardiff for a new challenge).
Just a hypothesis, but it would suit everyone.
If there were anything in that, the players would surely have worked it out.
May explain some of the uninspired performances.
