I agree Bellamy would be too much of a gamble. I can't imagine his volatile nature working as a manager. He'd fall out with half the team in no time.Originally Posted by Lawnmower wrote on Mon, 28 December 2015 20:11

How can it be correct? It's just an opinion you silly sausage.Originally Posted by chepstow wrote on Tue, 29 December 2015 12:44
If it's 3 or less, our squad is surely much stronger.Originally Posted by Lawnmower wrote on Tue, 29 December 2015 11:36
I can't even find anything in the media about it. Besides websites listing odds.Originally Posted by chepstow wrote on Tue, 29 December 2015 13:05
There are probably others as one or two of these aren't starters, but I don't know the details of a lot of their players. However just because I don't know them doesn't mean they aren't good players.Originally Posted by Heisenberg wrote on Tue, 29 December 2015 13:27
On the plus side, you wouldn't get lost going to away matches. Swings and roundabouts etc...Originally Posted by Jimmy Jimmy wrote on Tue, 29 December 2015 10:01
There really aren't any others, mate. You you haven't heard of them because their squad is average-to-poor, but they are doing well thanks to good management.Originally Posted by Lawnmower wrote on Tue, 29 December 2015 15:31
Surely all the Slade advocates can see that the club is drifting like a ship without a sail at present and I have never witnessed such apathy. Whatever your personal views of Russell Slade surely you can see a change is necessary to reverse the trend of apathy and inject some excitement into our club again!Originally Posted by Lawnmower wrote on Tue, 29 December 2015 11:36
We are nowhere near as strong as the top 5, and around the level of strength of Forest, Ipswich, Sheff Weds , Wolves and maybe one or 2 others. There's a few more who aren't a long way short, and Birmingham are one.Originally Posted by Heisenberg wrote on Tue, 29 December 2015 15:50
All I'm saying is our first choice squad is much stronger than theirs, so with a better manager we'd be getting better results.
A squad of Marshall, Fabio, Manga, Connolly, Malone, Pilkington, Gunnarsson, Ralls, Noone, Jones, Mason, Whittingham, Morrison, Dikgacoi, Peltier, Ameobi, Watt and Moore, is surely much better than...
Kusczak, Caddis, Robinson, M. Morrison, Grounds, Spector, Gray, Davis, Cotterill, Maghoma, Kieftenbeld, Donaldson, Vaughan, Shinnie, Halford, Gleeson, Eardley and Legzdins.
I don't think I've bashed Slade before, so it's not "another excuse to bash" him. I'm just disagreeing with you that our squad is close to par with Brum - when there's clearly a big divide in quality and numbers.
At least Bellamy will be given some slack for a few weeks.Originally Posted by Heisenberg wrote on Tue, 29 December 2015 16:32
Where do you think the bookmakers get their info from? If the sun was to say Malay was being linked with the Luton job he would enter the betting? Is anyone realistically suggesting the manager of a top 8 champ club is going to take a job in div 2 .......... Get realOriginally Posted by NYCBlue wrote on Tue, 29 December 2015 14:47
^^ if people are betting on Slade, I'd assume that I t is because they imagine he is about to be sacked, and would immediately go for , and get the Luton job.
I'm not a betting man, but I have to say, I'd want better odds than is being offered on that fairy story.
Given a choice out of Gary Rowett and Russell Slade, I'd go for the former any day of the week. Rowett has been doing the job for a fraction of the time Slade has, but he's already put together a squad which ended up winning a title and transformed a struggling Championship team with no money to spend into Play Off contenders - Slade may not have been given anywhere near as much to spend as his two predecessors as City manager were, but he's still been able to spend/waste not far short of £1 million on a player who he then loaned out!Originally Posted by Lawnmower wrote on Tue, 29 December 2015 15:31
Same goes for McCarthey, whom the Ipswich fans love , but is only a few points in front of us with IMHO a similar strength squad.Originally Posted by the other bob wilson wrote on Tue, 29 December 2015 17:41
Did the Sun say that Slade was in the running?Originally Posted by chepstow wrote on Tue, 29 December 2015 17:21
That's prob why he's in the betting!!Originally Posted by NYCBlue wrote on Tue, 29 December 2015 18:20
