    RIP Ed Stewpot Stewart

To be honest, I wasn't sure he was still alive. Not heard of him for so many years.

BBC News - Ed 'Stewpot' Stewart, former BBC disc jockey, dies http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-35273252

However to those of us of a certain vintage, he dominated the TVs every Friday night with Cravkerjack, the airwaves every Saturday morning with Junior Showtime and wad the most celebrity football fan I can recall as a kid always declaring his love for Everton which included being at NP the day they undeservedly beat us us (Albert Lamour/Duncan McKenzie) in an amazing FA Cup run in the 5th Round in '77 wearing the legendary white and yellow stripes on blue shirt.
