In praise of 6pm on a Sunday kick offs

Had a great weekend so far. Lots achieved and soon off to the city for a couple of hours now all the shops etc closed and nothing on tv.

Not too late finish either so I'm happy.

3pm on a Saturday takes up the whole day- can't do much before or after it so if given a choice I'd either say early on a Saturday/Sunday or late on a Sunday.

Looks like we've been blessed weather wise with the schedule of this game but better than 3pm on a Saturday Taking up the whole day is the beauty of the 3pm Saturday, love my Saturday all dayers, don't want to do anything else non related. It's the perfect time for a pre match meet up and spot on for after match socialising. Long live 3pm Saturday, long live tradition (although we were once a 3.15pm club)

Saturday afternoon TV and shopping are two reasons for a 3pm Saturday KO imo.

Fair enough - just thought as they had a chance of meeting us in the Final you'd want to check them out

Today was a bit if a bit of a throwback in my house, I binned Sky years ago, didn't think it was worth it. So football hasn't really come into the equation on a Sunday in my house for years. I s'pose those who have stuck with 'Super Sunday????' have been inundated, if they chose, with wall to wall football every Sunday so are, perhaps, a bit blasè about it. It sort of brought back the old days of looking forward to watching a rare live match on telly, something that Sky consigned to history, for the worse I reckon.

I ditched Sky as well, not missed it other than the cricket , I watch match of The day and the awful football league show to feed my footy desire , but I do enjoy the FA Cup of its uniqueness watching Swansea and Liverpool and Man U struggling makes it as very special competition indeed .
