My only issue with this new forum is the image of the stadium at the top of the page, it's completely pointless and forces users to have to automatically scroll to read the first post in a thread.

Big improvement with the php adapting to mobile phone OS browsers, I welcome that change gladly :D

You can remove the image using Ad Block

I'm using Chrome, Adblock AND Adguard Adblocker and the stadium is there.

You can block specific images. Right click the image, go to "Adblock Plus: Block Image", put the tick in "Custom" and click "Add Filter".

Personally from a web design perspective I would pull the image rather than wait on users to remove manually.
