Some vans can't be opened from the inside. Years ago I had an Austin Maestro van, one day whilst working on a building site in Tonyrefail, I opened the back doors and climbed in to get some tools, one of the plumbers slammed the doors shut for a laugh, got in his van and fecked off to another site leaving me locked in the back for two hours. I couldn't open the back doors without damaging them and there was no sliding door. The van was parked on the drive of a new build and there was nobody else working nearby so I was stuck. The site agent found me two hours later when he came looking for me to discuss work.
