Adam Johnson is set to be jailed today after being found guilty of engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl.
He said an emotional goodbye to his baby daughter before leaving for court today.
Last night, Johnson's sister Faye said she wouldn't be attending his sentencing because she doesn't want her brother "to see the pain in [her] eyes".

Johnson was “in the habit” of meeting girls on the way home from training for sex, Ms Blackwell has said.
Miss Blackwell said a medical report concluded Johnson “believes he has a right to sex”.
She said the same report writer said that he believed his actions did not constitute an offence as he thought of the victim as a young woman not a child.
I have got a feeling he wont get as long as has been suggested.

Johnson has committed to psychological sexual therapy as he wishes to understand his sexual desires.
Psychologist Philip Hopley, an expert who deals with the sexual activity of sports stars, has been called to the witness box on behalf of the defence.
He confirmed that Johnson told him “he never thought that what he was doing was wrong in his head.”
The priory psychologist who interviews the footballer said that his verbal comprehension was “pretty low” in the lowest 13% of the population.
“This was a man at the age of 28 who was socially and psychologically immature,” Dr Hopley said.
“As a young man he was somewhat retarded [in his physical development], he was very small and hit puberty very late at 16. His confidence and self esteem were impacted.
“This has had a significant impact on his sexual habits.”
If Johnson was not a professional footballer his “sexual preoccupation would not have developed in the same way” and it is “unlikely” that the crime would have happened.

The way the judge is summing it up it's sounding very calculated.

People are saying now there are 17 England Internationals with convictions so they should all be stripped.
6 years is probably about right and is seemingly considered to be about right by the Police.
