Here are the remaining fixtures for the top 10 teams.
Cardiff City enter the final stages on the Championship season just outside the play off places.
The Bluebirds have played the same number of games as 6th placed Sheffield Wednesday but are three points behind. Crucially the teams have to play each other later in the campaign with Sheff Weds v City the penultimate game of the season.
Cardiff face Derby County this coming Saturday with Derby the team in 5th, five points ahead of Cardiff making this weekend's fixture another huge game.
Cardiff end the season at home to Birmingham City, another team with play off aspirations. With an away game at leaders Burnley to play as well City have a challenging run in.
Any thoughts of an automatic promotion place should be discounted but 6th, 5th or even at a stretch 4th place should be City's aim.

Can? - Yes.
Will? - Probably not.
Think we will fall just short, we need a deadly natural goal poacher , which we don't have.
Looking at those fixtures (which took me bloody ages to type out btw) there are several matches involving the play off chasing sides. My gut feeling is that we will fall short, one or two key defeats will probably cost us but on the other hand a string of decent results coupled with the other teams taking points off each other could open the door for us to slip in.
I have consistently said over the last several weeks, that I feel we are 4/5 points short. Those drawn games against Burnley, Sheff Wed, MK and Rotherham where we threw away wins, will come back to haunt us.
Hope I'm wrong.

I don't fancy it so much now. We're currently 3 points off and I shouldn't be surprised if it's more like 6 or 7 by the end of the season. Still, let's wait and see.

Very confident we will finish in 5th spot.
A defeat for them on Saturday and Derby's tough looking run in has me thinking they won't make it. On the other hand, Ipswichy's four home matches look very winnable to me. I think the top four are guaranteed top six finishes now, Sheffield Wednesday should make it as well with that run in and the trouble is that I don't see us having the firepower to beat Derby if Pilkington is missing - still disappointed we decided we couldn't bring in one more loan signing after all of the players who left in the days leading up to the loan window closing.

Can't see us slipping in and winning, we're just not one of those type of clubs and never have been. We will finish where we are now on goal diff to brum who will get the point they need here on the last day.
Beat Derby on Saturday and I think we will have a good chance. Lose, and although still mathematically able, i think we would be out of the running.
