Incredible this has only just come to light. On the one hand it's a great shame as Taylor was fully deserving of an extended run in the Test team and to retire at 26 is way too young. On the other hand he now has a much greater chance of living a full life having been diagnosed.

English cricketer rather than England cricketer.

In a way he's extremely fortunate that his health is partly his livelihood so that it will be diagnosed quicker than if he wasn't a sports-person and unfortunate that that his health is partly his livelihood.

Shit happens in all of life...when it's highlighted in the media it seems like a big deal...it's not.

I'd say 7 tests and 27 ODIs make's him an "England cricketer".
