"Line of Duty" - great TV cop-drama

Guess this sort of TV ain't flavour of CCMB with all the young(ish) bucks on here (who seem mesmerised by Sky Atlantic output), but I thought the series finale was gripping and well-acted/written.

I must confess that I got a bit lost with earlier episodes when the writer seemed to rehash some of what had gone on in previous series to accommodate the characters - but last night was very watchable and tied up most of the loose ends.

And Vicky McClure ticks loadsa boxes for me as DC Kate Fleming.

    “urgent exit required”!!!!!!!!!

Bit far fetched in many areas, but great drama nonetheless.

The US cop dramas are different obviously, and some have been excellent, and some not so. Bit like the UK ones, Marcella is appalling for example.

I can't see Vicky McClure without flashing back to her in DM's with a skin haircut though in "This is England."

Excellent series. Didn't expect the 'urgent extraction'

I don't think anyone was expecting the urgent exit, great series, we enjoyed it.

Vicky's acting is getting better and better, fair play to her (and she's Welsh).

Love the eyes, born in Nottingham married to a Welshman.

Brilliant top UK drama, bring on the next biggy ,Peaky Blinders . Got no interest in anything on Sky Atlantic and its many repeats.

What a villain Dot Cotton was but he had no chance of bedding Vicky, Paul Ferris was excellent and the lovely Keeley Hawes!

I like Slade but I don't think he could have made that pile of shit believable.

I agree that there were several issues of credibility - highlighted by the press, btw - but overall they too thought it was compelling viewing. And don't forget even Dickens stretched the boundaries of realism with spontaneous combustion.

    Oh, and lighten up, moosh!

Ok some things in all of the 3 series were a bit unrealistic but overall,it has been of one of the best television programmes I've watched for a while. I like the fact that it's a cop programme with a different slant to it. Adrian Dunbar was talking about it on Radio 2 in the week and the 4th series is out early next year and it's all filmed in Belfast.

Really enjoyable series, except the last ten minutes of the last episode where it turned into Die Hard, that was really silly and had me laughing out loud. It was as if Homer Simpson had been brought in to finish it off the story.
