I think everyone needs to remember that we are talking about a football song here. I've heard a few football songs that were better than this one, but far more that were worse. That said, I found it just bland really - it would have been great if Wales could have bucked the trend and come out with something really good after all those decades of failed qualifying campaigns, but it was never going to happen in real life was it.

What we are talking about is a very bad song indeed. The lyrics, in particular, are genuinely embarrassing.

Whose idea was this nonsense in the first place? Did the band members themselves actually plan this or did someone lock them in a room for twenty minutes with instructions to write a song about the Welsh football team and this rubbish was the result?
