New managers like to bring in their own players, their own staff etc.

Has the signing of Immers been sanctioned by the incoming boss or have the club just made sure they have the player on board while they had the chance to get him?

My suspicion is that the new man has already been chosen and will be announced soon, but we signed Ravel Morrison (bet that deal cost us a lot) in the period between Ole leaving and Slade arriving, so the Board do have some previous for going it alone.

Wales Online are claiming that as many as six other Championship teams were after him, so I suppose it might have been a case of City having to conclude the deal while they could.

A new manager has to come in and work with a squad that isn't his anyway, he can't bring in XI new players so I don't see any harm in permenantly singing the best player from the end of last season.

If a manager didn't want Immers in his side I'd be more worried about his appointment seeing how Immers is so influential.
