First episode on the "new" Top Gear tonight. I didn't watch it myself, and I thought there must be a thread on here about it. When I looked, sod all. Must have been pretty dire.

From what I've read on my timeline, I made the rent choice.
I watched it and thought it was dire. Evans trying too hard had no chemistry with Le Blanc
It's was bad really bad, as above I watched antiques roadshow ( one of my favourite programs btw)
I think the comment in one newspaper was Flop Gear.
It was really strained, and the lack of Chemistry was obvious. I think Chris Evans really doesn't suit this gig but it was always going to be a tough act to follow the old trio.
Perhaps it will get better but I'd hoped it would introduce some new ideas to differentiate it from the old TG. It didn't and now it just looks like a pale pastiche of the original.
Not sure I can be bothered to watch any of the other episodes after that.
The Beeb should have axed it and made a Motoring program (with a different name) after a year or two without having a motoring prog.
How can you follow what Top Gear had become?
It was not really my thing so I'm not harking after the old TG at all, but like it or loathe it, the Top Gear formula became about the exploits Clarkson , Hammond and May. Vehicles were involved.
It was on BBC.
It had BBC production values.
It's been. It's gone.
IMO , the Beeb and Amazon may as well both forget it now, as should Evans, LeBlanc, Clarkson, Hammond and May, as I suspect will occur after two concurrent series flop in parallel.
I think at one time or another, we've all had to make the rent choice.

Yeah I use my car to go back and for to my ****ing job. The last thing i want to do in my spare time is watch on the telly shit that is conected to my job.
