    FT: WALES 1 - 2 ENGLAND. Sturridge 90+1

Yeah, I put Wales first, so what?

Whilst a win would be incredible, I'd be very very pleased with a draw. I have to say though, I'm expecting nothing from this game. Tomorrow can't come quickly enough though.

Anyone stuck in work for this?

Booked the afternoon off work many months ago.....i think we can beat em
1-0 there's a huge pressure on English shoulders right now and if we can keep it tight that pressure is gonna build up and up.

Been nervous for this as soon as the final whistle went against Slovakia. Some Dutch courage needed tomorrow before the game.

Happy with the draw. I gather that if we finish level on points with Slovakia we would be above them on head to head. Is this correct?

Thanks mate. We were planning on going on Friday but the forecast now looks iffy. I will check the forecast tomorrow and decide then.

Our best weapon is the English media - We've lost 5-0 already according to them.
Just hope the English players think they only have to turn up.

I've got a feeling we can nick this one.

Took the day off. 9am kick off.

A draw would be a fantastic result.

2-0 Cymru. That man Bale does it again, only twice.

Re: WALES V ENGLAND OFFICIAL THREAD

The bookies have us at 6/1 to win and England at 8/15. They clearly expect an England win the feckers

A draw would make me very happy. A win would knock me sideways. It's got to happen at some point in football after such a gap, so why the hell not tomorrow?

Son-in-law (who was at school with Bale) living in England is watching the game in work wearing a dragon costume for a 12-y-o. Pix to follow hopefully.....

Found a bar full of ne'er do wells, miscreants, drunks and lunatics in this genteel town of Souillac in the Dordogne.
Will watch the game there and hope that I won't befall the same fate as another customer last night after France's victory. He was tied up and firecrackers set off around him.

Re: WALES V ENGLAND OFFICIAL THREAD

Hasn't been a 0-0 in the tournament yet.

    I'd gladly take one today.

Sadly I think it'll be a comfortable victory for England. After the Russia game they'll be determined to make amends. Plus I think we'll sit too deep and play for a point which will play into their hands.

    3-0 England.

(Judging by my usual shit predictions, I think that should guarantee at least a draw now)

“Everything about Wales is about the pride and passion to represent the country, and when we put on the shirt there is no bigger honour for us.

“You can see it when we sang the national anthem against Slovakia. It was absolutely ridiculous, everyone gripping each other in the line. There were goosebumps and people crying. That is Wales. That is us. We play for the shirt and the dragon and we give everything we have.”

Hope I'm wrong but I think England will have to much for us and they will sneak a 1-0 win.

Re: WALES V ENGLAND OFFICIAL THREAD

Weirdly not nervous at all at the moment, i think it will be a low scoring draw.
Not sure about elsewhere but its good to see both my kids schools are letting the kids off lessons this afternoon to watch the game in school halls.
