Obviously gutted, it was a great effort but the result cannot be argued against, anti football isn't the way forward, sitting back inviting the opposition on, look at the stats of the goals that have been scored in the last few mins in this tournament, having one of the best players in the world and not using him (other than for free kicks) is strange to me, how often did he have the ball running into the oppo half?, tactics have worked to get us this far and another win sees us through, i'd like to see us attack Russia, and not rely on anti-football loosing a goal in the last min and seeing us go out.

I think we'll beat Russia. But today was there for us. Gutted.

Mate,fair play to you and I'm not having a go, but if the game plan is defence against attack for 45 minutes without any out ball whatsoever we will never win another game. It was screaming out for someone to win a few fouls or just anything but give it back time after time

Interesting post-match interviews with Sturridge and Vardy. Both were asked about the atmosphere in the stadium and the experience:

Sturridge made a point of praising both sets of fans and both teams, and talked about Wales with respect ('another great nation' I think he said).

Vardy didn't.

When I feel bitter and twisted after a last minute kick in the teeth like that, these little things stick in my memory.

Same thing happened to England last match.

Many people seem so down on the lads.

We did well to ride it out, and we nearly did.

We showed bottle, and determination - we could have even nicked it, though it would have been against the run of play, and clearly .. all hell would have broken loose in the 'British' media - but I still think we will make it through.

I thought we were disappointing and didn't close England down anywhere near enough. Our passing was poor. We did defend well though and I thought we were looking comfortable in the final few minutes.
We still have everything to play for.

Aside from Ramsey - who was a warrior - we didn't get a grip in midfield at all. We just didn't keep possession well enough. To lose so late on was gutting but we were second best today. Great goal from Bale whatever the pundits say.

Simples, Sturridge is a quality player/person, Vardy is a cheat.
