Yeah, If Sweden or ROI win then knock Turkey out, so we play NI. If not it's Turkey.

Sickner really mate, glad you were here.

    Re: How is A/C/D decided?

I originally thought it was the best placed team from either group A,C or D but it seems that is not how it is worked out. Go by the table posted earlier and the possible permutations should make sense. We won't know which 4 groups contain the best 3rd place teams until tomorrows groups are finished but we do know we can discount any combinations which don't contain groups B or C as Slovakia and N. Ireland have definitely qualified as 3rd place teams.

Look down the column that says WB plays and there is only possible combination (BCEF) that would result in Wales meeting N. Ireland (3C).

This link might explain it more ....... or just confuse people more

Right, let me get this straight. Teams definitely through -

    Slovakia - B
    N Ireland - C

Albania and Turkey through if Sweden, Portugal and Rep Ireland all lose tomorrow night?

Looking ahead even further we really want SWE to beat BEL, so that if we got to the quarter final then we would be playing either SWE or (most likely) HUN/POR. That would mean WAL v NI next round, then hopefully HUN in the quarters...

AUT also need to lose/draw for ALB and TUR to progress, which seems unlikely but possible. IF that happened then the top 4 3rd placed teams would be ABCD and we'd still play TUR

Yes - Quite possible too i think though Portugal will probably get a result to see them through.

    Re: How is A/C/D decided?

    currently:Slovakia (B) & NI (C) have qualified.
Turkey (D) rank 3rd on goals scored
    Albania (A) 4th

    We cannot therefore meet Albania.

We will meet Turkey under all criteria except if both group E & F displace them. Only in this case will we meet N.Ire.

Roll on this time tomorrow so it's all decided and Master Richie can go back to playing baseball with his new chums from the projects

    Re: How is A/C/D decided?

Top half of draw opening up for the more unfancied teams.

R16: Wales v Norn Ireland or Turkey
QF could be v Belgium, Ireland, Portugal, Sweden Iceland
    SF v Croatia, Swiss, Poland

    Bottom half of draw contains
France, Spain, Italy, England and Germany.

Bookies will be well happy with that. I'd say most group winner accies were down the toilet and so will predicting the two finalists bets.
