    How is A/C/D decided?

    Is it a draw?

    Re: How is A/C/D decided?

It's a bit random but this tells me that we are more likely to play Albania or Northern Ireland/Ukraine.

No, they do it in a way that it is not possible to meet a fellow country from the same first round group until you get to the semis.

Thanks but haven't got a clue what that chart means.

    How are the groups ranked?

Argh, too late to edit my post but more likely to play Albania and either the Czechs or Turkey.

    Re: How is A/C/D decided?

If Turkey win or draw with Czech R then we will probably play Albania. If Czechs win we are likely to play them as they'll be on 4 points, therefore more than Albania. As seen in the chart above there is only one possibility to play Northern Ireland/Ukraine.

    So in a 'likelihood order':

Czech Republic - if they beat Turkey this is a guaranteed fixture pretty much
    Albania
Turkey (only if they win by some margin - at least 3 clear goals to surpass Albania's GD)
    Northern Ireland
Ukraine (only if they score at least 3 clear goals against Poland)

The Czechs were awful for an hour against Croatia, really poor but they managed to score 2 goals against a very good team so we will have to be on our A game.

Thanks mate. Yeah, Croatia switched off for them last 10 mins, don't know what happened.

    More like
    Czech
    NI
    Albania (very unlikely).

How do you work that out?

    There's 5 permutations we could play Albania, 5 Czech Rep/Turkey and only 1 N.I.

I'd say group E might have a third team not make it but it's hard to predict the others.

    Re: How is A/C/D decided?

There's still a possibility Croatia can finish third in that group if Spain beat them and Czech beat Turkey with a 3 goal swing.

Really hoping for a draw between Turkey v Czech Rep. A good chance we will play Albania then.

    Re: How is A/C/D decided?

I think the 4 best qualifiers will be
    B C D F
Slovakia have 4 so they are sorted. Checks should beat turkey puts them on 4 with Coatia.

Unless NI get thumped by the Germans they should have better GD than Albania.

If that's the outcome we end up playing the Checks or Croatia depending on which one of those finishes 3rd.

Can't see us playing Albania as that needs Albania to qualify , and with a GD of -2 they'd need Iceland or Portugal to lose.
Or possibly the checks to slip up against Turkey.

    Re: How is A/C/D decided?

As Richyrich says we would want Albania to qualify so we get them

The Czechs looked crap for 70 mins against Croatia so it's not that far fetched that Turkey could get the draw.

Just need Belgium and Italy not to lose then.

I think this scenario is most plausible.

    ABCF for me.

The bottom options now out as well as Slovakia have qualified

    Re: How is A/C/D decided?

Croatia currently losing and Turkey winning so this could get interesting!

If it stays like this we need Belgium, Italy and Portugal not to lose tomorrow, they can draw just can't lose.
