    I don't think that's right.

    We play 3rd from A C D- Currently NI
France play 3rd from C D E - so we have to wait for those games tomorrow.
the likely results tomorrow would be Italy& Belgium win. Which would give France - NI.

So we would get either Albania or Turkey. I think it would go to Turkey as they've scored more goals.

Because 2 of the 6 3rd place teams are going out.
We are "allocated" 3 possibles, so we will get one of a c or d tonight

Pearcey, if Sweden or ROI win tomoz and Portugal don't lose we play NI. If that don't happen it's Turkey.

Look at the table from the Beeb again. We can play either the 3rd place teams from A, C or D groups, BUT the one we get to play is decided by WHICH 4 groups have the best 3rd placed finisher.

The only way we can play NI as I read the table is that either SWE or IRE have to beat either BEL or ITA respectively tomorrow - which I think is unlikely. That is the ONLY way that we can get the BCEF combination of 3rd places needed for us to meet 3C.

C'mon Sweden or ROI, prefer NI than Turkey.

Albania looks now very likely as Turkey have won and Croatia have too

    Re: How is A/C/D decided?

Turkey are apparently out Richy so we won't be playing them. How come Turkey are out? I'm lost with this.

Me too. We also need Portugal not to lose as you've already noted. Unfortunately I reckon we've got Turkey :-( Bloody typical as if they'd just won by 1 goal we'd have been playing Albania instead...

Don't you start. Perhaps we can play a select 11 comprising Norn Ireland,Turkish and Albanians.

No mate, don't think so, Albania look unlikely to qualify.

They're not out - they just haven't qualified yet, whereas NIR now definitely have.

Turkey are out according to ITV's commentators

Edit: they've come back from an Ad break & changed that.

Think I was wrong bout Portugal mate, because we still play Turkey if they go out.

You were right. Sweden or ROI win= NI if they lose Turkey.

Correct but we cannot play Turkey as their goal difference is worse than Norn Ireland. As is Albania's. We play the top ranked third team from groups A,C and D and that is currently Norn Ireland.

How can we play Turkey when they are a lower ranked third team than Norn Ireland?

They've just corrected themselves to say they can still qualify dependent on results tomorrow night. We want either SWE or IRE to win tomorrow so that we get NI instead of TUR for my preference.

FFS mate, it don't work like that.

Apparently we play either Northern Ireland or Turkey

Alright. I give in. ITV have just said Norn Ireland or France. So we need a shock tomorrow night to avoid Turkey. Having said that we can definitely beat the Turks.

    Re: How is A/C/D decided?

It looks like Turkey if things stay as they are but if Turkey get eliminated because of tomorow's games then it'll be Northern Ireland.

    Re: How is A/C/D decided?

So basically we play Turkey if they qualify. If not then N.I. ?
