Debt is an illusion, it's highway robbery, wake up people!

1.5T is only 80-odd % of GDP. Calm down. When most people take out a mortgage they borrow 3-5 times their annual income.

Ah, time for my favourite Henry Ford quote. “The one aim of these financiers is world control by the creation of inextinguishable debt.”

Financiers was code for Jewish bankers. He also produced and distributed half a million copies of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. It is a blueprint for a one world government, all of which has come to pass.

Here's a Jewish take on Henry Ford: http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/...ism/ford1.html

    See Chart 4.02. http://www.ukpublicspending.co.uk/debt_brief.php

Clearly in the past the UK had a much higher (think >250%) debt:GDP ratio and survived. Half of the arguments for austerity out out by the right are based on bogus logic.

I dont buy all this world domination by Jewish bankers stuff, so leaving that to one side - , most countries have or are trying to pay off some debt as well as get their annual deficit down - which seems a sensible idea to little old me.
The USA has never had austerity budgets. As soon as the effects of the crisis in 2008 became clear Obama instituted the ARRA which involved spending $900B on infrastructure projects and welfare. Honestly, it 20 years it will be seen as a master stroke.

The problem with the southern European countries is the Euro. Fair and square.
