    Burn the Charcoal shirts!

They never bring us any luck and look absolutely shite surely we should be in Green/Yellow away?

    Re: Burn the Charcoal shirts!

Why did we have to wear them last night when Portugal played in green?

They were explaining on 5live that the home team, Portugal couldn't wear their usual burgundy because apparently it clashed with our charcoal. But then we couldn't wear our red kit because we were not listed as the 'home team' so therefore ended up with two teams playing in their away kits.

Some might argue that both away kits clashed to a certain extent also.

I agree. Burn them. Burn them all.

Which is a shame really because I think they look pretty good.

See, this is the sort of stuff that made us vote to leave the EU - bloody Brussels bureaucrats!

This is pretty pathetic though isn't it. With Russia being good enough to agree to us playing in red and white (it's no coincidence that we wore those colours in 1958 as well), we could and should have played in that kit in every match - with that decision about stopping kids going on the pitch after the match as well, it's not been a good few days for UEFA.

    Good choice.

"Our study results support the hypothesis that smart use of colour may improve team results. The colour white resulted in the best visual acuity and widest angle of perception against a football field green background, compared to red, orange, yellow, blue, black and green. In addition, white players’ positions were significantly better assessed than green players’ positions in a virtual football environment."

I'm not sure England would agree with that

I like the charcoal kit but I don't want the team wearing it.
