Would you care to explain what part of the link in the OP shows Osborne to be anything other than a decent bloke

How very bizarre. - would you care to explain where I have said otherwise? ('on this occasion').

Osborne's various omnishamble budgets which have attacked those weakest in society far from suggest he is a decent individual.

And could it be a little like saying: we will miss the days when we were merely p1ssed upon, rather than flogged, and then p1ssed upon.

What about missing ALL of his own fiscal targets? An absolute shambles of a Government. And let us not forget, the investigation by 10 Police Forces into 29 Tory MPs involving 33 constituencies of financial wrongdoings during the 2015 GE...

    Re: George Osborne

I think it was pretty obvious that Osbourne would not keep his job once Cameron resigned. He would always be regarded as one of Dave's old Eton mates (i.e. a toff) and some of his scary OTT predictions about what BREXIT would mean for the UK did not help his cause. Admittedly the actual BREXIT has not occurred yet (it seems not for quite a long time possibly) so history may yet prove him to be right of course! But politics is all about the immediate future, so he has to go.

Gove and Nicky Morgan gone now too apparently. A clear out of the "Notting Hill set" it seems.
