Thread: City Fans at the Euros

    City Fans at the Euros

I wonder if the City were the most represented club, certainly from the British sides, at the Euros? I don't count fans who say they're a fan of a club but never actually go, I mean fans who regularly support their club. I saw loads of City stalwarts out there, out of, say, 25,000 Welsh fans at games there could quite feasibly have been 10,000 City fans amongst them, if not more. Doubt if any English clubs would have had such a high ratio.

Judging by flags then City fans might have made up as much as a third at some games, however it was noticeable that there were less city flags and more Swansea ones later on.
Also seemed to be more rugby fans at the semi

Yes, he posted "could quite feasibly have been 10,000 City fans". Hope this helps.

Yep, Pencoed Jack, that's what I said, what would your breakdown be? Were you at any of the games or in the streets before and after? I'm basing my estimations on ratios of what I witnessed, obviously didn't count everyone but pre game if there was a gathering of, say, 100 Welsh fans outside a bar it seemed as though 50% were City fans. So there quite well may have been more than my estimate out there. Does it hurt you that we supported our country in large numbers?

I saw loads of Swansea fans out there I'd say of the 25000 Welsh fans out there minus the 10000 Cardiff fans the remaining 15000 were quite feasibly all Jacks.

Makes me wonder if Swansea were the largest represented club in France.

We were all Welsh fans out in France, whatever part of Wales we came from or whatever team we support FFS.

    Grow up.

I'm sure Bryndon must have done one of his surveys.

Minibus full of west glamorgan`s finest on the ferry singing Bluebirds are terrified swansea`s on fire to a couple of Bluebirds until a few more Bluebirds turned up and told them they were n`t terrified and if they did n`t shut it they were going in the English Channel.

Never really thought about club allegiances. 99% in red and there to support Wales.

Easily the biggest representation in France was Cardiff, closely followed by Wrexham / North Walians then the rest of Wales making up the rest
