The reports so far point to an armed robbery gone horribly wrong rather than an attack on the police,early days yet though.

I was in a minibus in the States the other day, couple of yanks, the rest Brits, leaving a ship, on the way to the airport. The driver commenting on the recent events in France, said of those 'crazy gun laws in Europe' that 'those guys should be issued with guns'. So, it seems there is an answer.
