Thread: trident bombs

    Re: trident bombs

The typical barbecue host is bad enough. Those who don't use charcoal (outside grillers I call them) are beyond the pale. I was going to pop into the Royal Exchange (next to Llandaff choo-choo station) today but saw someone enter who fitted the above profile so thought better of it as I immediately had an urge to nut him.

So Japan should have been more careful who it went to war with.

Surely it's a question that has to be asked?

Ask away but can anyone really expect a Prime Minister to say anything other than "yes"?

I think we can all sleep easier in our beds tonight, secure in the knowledge that one of our mighty nuclear subs was in collision with a tanker (id unknown - could be one of three) while 'honing anti-submarine warfare capability' in the Med.

No doubt this experience will provide invaluable lessons for our Trident fleet.

What would you expect the answer to be?

It's like me asking if you'd kill someone if they were going to kill your kids first?

If you answer yes, does that make you "quite keen" to murder someone?

Extra loony from you today woman.

Other PMs have avoided the question - or given a more diplomatic answer. I agree it is a loaded question, whatever she answers is going to get a section of people on her back. It's a bit of a daft question, especially when she is advocating spending billions on a new system.

Mrs R is right - the question needed to be asked. Some will be reassured by her decisive response. Some will be alarmed. I think both responses are legitimate.

I'd be neither alarmed or reassured. It's highly unlikely that she'll ever be in the position to answer the question for real.

As you said, a daft loaded question.

No damage done so it's all fine.

Christ, how long have you known me? when I answered kingbillyboy saying she was well up for it I was joking as I assumed his post was joking, Jimmy had his fishing rod out when he asked his question so I said she seemed quite keen as a bit of a wind up back.

    Loony from you today man.
