    Look up Velothon fred

Town practically shut down from North Road (Nazareth House) and Column Road is nose to tail. Takes about an hour from Nazareth House to Greyfriars Road

I will be coming off the M4 to head into Cardiff. Any suggestions as to the best junction to come off at?

Fantastic atmosphere and good banter. I find the Indians such a lovely people.

Days like yesterday do make you understand why the shorter game has become so popular.

Hope the Glammy game is as enjoyable for you
Perfect Friday evening for cricket! beautiful weather, packed crowd and close finish ! Result could have gone either way unti Halles who played a well paced disciplined innings saw them home ! Indians are so passionate about their cricket and added to atmosphere ! Might try and get down tomorrow to watch Glammy who seem to have thumped Hampshire!

I would come off at 33 Cardiff West and head down through Ely, then there are 2 FREE car parks behind the shops on Cowbridge Road.

5 minutes walk to the game

He means Cowbridge Road East, otherwise it's a Helluva walk

Depending on what time you get into Cardiff and you dont leave it too late, you could come down the A48M past the hospital and come through Llandaff. There is car parking around Llandaff fields / Pontcanna.

Not sure which roads are closed for the bikes mind so it would be worth checking.

Only problem with this, is Cardiff Road, which is the turning for Llandaff Fields, is one poxy car at a time and you will queueing as far back as the Hospital

And they’ve put all their eggs in the T20 basket

    Indian cricket fans are superb.
    Knowledgeable, passionate, friendly.
Always a joy to watch games with them 👍

Thought the batting lacked urgency too.
Several sharp singles and 2s turned down.

Didn’t really try to attack the spinner, who got 2-27 off his 4.

Still had loads of wickets in hand, needed to take more risks and could maybe have got 190

Don’t think opening the bowling with Salter was a good move, Wagg was awful bowling far too short and Meschede not up to much either.
Don’t understand why Glam don’t try to get a top class spinner in if they want to win the T20

Fielding was tough. The outfield was very hard, fast and bumpy in areas.
    Both sides struggled.

    Wright is our nemeses

Spot on Tim. Ingram batted really well but his running beteeen the wicket was dreadful. Cooke was nearly run out going for a second run which Ingram should have made but was not remotely interested in. We also got just two runs in the 17th over with loads of wickets in hand. Agree about the spinner too. We have stuck with Salter for too long

I think Salter is OK, but we need 2 quality ones for the T20.. especially at Sophia which tends to favour the slow bowlers.

It seems season after season that opposition spinners come to the Swalec and do well

    Re: GLAMMY

Replacement for Marsh named - about as good as we could get under the circumstances.

    Re: GLAMMY

It’s a shame about Marsh and as you say due to time scale we’re not likely to get a better replacement

    Re: GLAMMY

What is it about Glamorgan playing at home in one day cricket? I realise there were a lot of T20 matches rained off last season, but our record in home one days games (and at Cardiff in any competition) in recent seasons is woeful. Time was, the pitch at Cardiff would suit us, but we had Croft and Cosker (a limited spinner in the four day stuff, but very good when it came to limited overs) then and the low, slow, gently turning tracks would play into our hands, but now the only thing we win at Sophia Gardens is the occasional toss!

It would be easy to say that, as one of, if not the, weakest team(s) around, there is no sort of pitch which favours us more than our opponents, but the really strange thing is that our away record in T20 in particular over the same period is very good.

Once again Salter didn’t contribute anything with either his bowling or batting, and the Aussie replacement Burns, was stumped for 5

Another big disappointment for the fans.
It's almost as if the team get stage fright.

Burns looked totally out of form painfully scratching around. What is so disappointing this season is that the team looked laboured. The fielding is slow and the running between the wicket pathetic.
Having seen both home defeats I don’t think we will make the quarter finals. Salter is fortunate to be earning a living as a County cricketer. Both Wagg and Meschede bring little to the club these days.

If the money is there to bring in Khawaja and Burns for T20 then it should be there to bring some senior players to the club for the County Championship. The entire focus is in T20.
A real shame last night because there must have been 6000 plus at the match and yet once Ingram was out you just knew it was going to end in disappointment.

One other point. I wish they could sort out the parking. We ended up missing the first ten overs because we had to park a long way away.
