I took the dog for a walk at lunchtime and was surprised by how sultry it was - one of the things I thought of as I was shuffling along was these feel like perfect swing bowling conditions for the Derbyshire bowlers.

I dont think its a true picture when TVDG and Morgan are out when its three wickets down. I mean that's your regular number 10, and a player who was in the team last season as a spinner batting 9.

Watching the live feed now that pink ball don't half look bright.
    184-6. Still 104 behind.
Surely we can't be the side that loses to Derbyshire. That would be so embarrassing.

    Re: GLAMMY

They managed to be the first side to lose to Durham

    Re: GLAMMY

237-9. Poor stuff and again the rate of scoring is at a snails pace

155/9 so Derbyshire 206 ahead....it would be nice to bowl them out tonight although Glammy's openers could have a tricky few overs tonight. Should be an interesting day tomorrow

On what seems to be a worsening pitch too.
Not wishing to be the prophet of doom....

    ...I'm gonna leave it there

    Re: GLAMMY

    160 all out

    212 to win

Yep we know this may not end up going well. The openers need to survive four overs tonight.

Just checked the weather forecast and there looks to be a lot of moisture about tomorrow with cloud cover all day....

He can get pissed tonight then

    Re: GLAMMY

Yep a very poor start. It will be tricky tomorrow. As MacAdder suggests the weather is overcast tomorrow so the ball will swing around.

Mistake trying to come out and block every all of the first 6 overs.

The way he's played for us, I think he starts at breakfast!

    Re: GLAMMY

We seem to be treating every opposition bowling attack as if it is better than the West Indies one of the 80s at the moment, so I'd say our best hope is to bat out the day for a draw !

I think Derbyshire have to be favourites because it seems the pitch is spinning and if Salter can get three wickets, I have to believe that their spinners can do a lot of damage today. I think we need someone to take the game to the opposition in a way we've stopped doing recently and, if luck is on their side, we can win - as a team used to losing, Derbyshire heads might start to drop if we can stay competitive for the first session as well.

It sounds two paced, commentators were saying balls were stopping from salter. I would be pretty surprised if we win this.

I hope you're right, they won't win by batting defensively at a snails pace as they have been of late

    Re: GLAMMY

54-4 off 36 overs - they are playing for the draw!
