Ann George-Aka Amy Turtle from Crossroads.
Do you mean still alive?
Have to think about that
The late John Thaw probably has a good claim if you mean ever.
His roles in the Sweeney, Morse Kavanagh QC and Home to Roost show how versatile he was.
Toby Jones has claims atm.
I don't believe it !
What a load of crap that show was
Is he still alive ?
Keeley Hawes is a great actress
And my girlfriend
When I saw the title of the thread my first thought was John Thaw. Timothy Spall however is right up there aswell.
Yes he is Sludge. About a year ago he got out of a taxi in London, looking a little bit unsteady on his feet. My niece went over to help him out and he was extremely gracious and polite. It was only afterwards she realised who he was.
Richard Wilson was superb as Merlin's mentor Gaius in the TV series.
David Threlfall of Frank Gallagher fame, has turned his hand to many roles since.
Steve Pemberton is an extremely versatile actor.
Martin Freeman.
Michael Kitchen as Detective Chief Superintendent Christopher Foyle was the man I'd like to be.
Megan Markle........always in the papers
Some great names mentioned on this thread, but for me, I’m with the OP, David Jason.
Whenever I watched Frost, I never once thought of Del Boy. Whenever I watched Pa Larkin, I never once thought of Del Boy or Frost.
Paul Henry (Smith).
The way he wore that woolly hat as Benny from Crossroads was masterful.
