That’s a better session than I was expecting for Sussex, but I’d still say a Middlesex win has to be favourite.

440-5 and four of the men out didn’t get into double figures.

    Re: GLAMMY

Middlesex and Sussex match drawn, I think that means we draw level with Middlesex as long as we don’t lose to Leicestershire.

Northeast cutting loose 250 up. A joy to watch!

Could Glammy fashion a win here?

Perhaps I'm getting a bit ahead of myself

Northeast 308 NO at the close one short of Steve James's record clap 👏

Edit: gotta be quick on here!

Brilliant days batting, especially the last hour 👏 👏

Wonder if we've ever had a 300 partnership and a 200 partnership in the same innings before?

    Re: GLAMMY

We all knew Northeast was a good signing but to already have over 1,000 first class runs this season is brilliant.
Need to have the stream running tomorrow morning for some history. Absolutely fantastic performance from him.

    Re: GLAMMY

You can certainly see why he has been regarded as an England prospect for most of his career, but it’s probably too late for him now and I’m not sure he fits the template for a modern England test batsmen - worse players than him have played for England in recent years though.

Meanwhile, England’s demise as a fifty over side continues, what used to be bold and ground breaking now looks like a substandard version of six or out.

Great bowling by England and the conditions are trickier than I thought they were, but I still think England are going to lose more than they win if they keep on losing so many early wickets that the later batsmen are being faced with about two thirds of the innings to go.

Just noticed Welshman Phil Salt making another start for the England fifty overs side.

Now that Stokes has retired he's got a great opportunity to have a long run in the team.
