I hope your holiday isn't abandoned due to rain

Not a bad start despite losing Ingram

We are supposed to be going out for a meal and me and my lad are listening to radio Wales. 124/3 off 15 is decent enough. We need to get to 180 from here.

176-5. Looks a decent score on a poor wicket, let's hope the bowlers can finish the job.

54-3 now. How many South Africans have Glamorgan got out there tonight? Must be 6 or 7. It's become a bit of a joke in terms of being a Welsh side which was almost the case 15-20 years ago.

It's just following the pattern established by the England and Wales Cricket Board over the past decade or so.

    And the England football team.

Oh, and the England egg chasing team.

Ordinarily Glammy would get a bumper crowd on Friday night but once again the weather looks dreadful. Four successive abandoned home games is on the cards and is rotten luck. Great win tonight though.

    Re: GLAMMY

While of course, all of these home abandonments are very bad financially for the club, it may be argued that they are no bad thing in playing terms when you look at our home and away results in one day cricket over the past three seasons.

In 2015 our home record in T20 and 50 over cricket read won seven, tied one, lost six and one no result, last year it was slightly better with seven wins and five losses, but this year it reads won two, lost three and three no results. So, that's a total of sixteen wins, one tie, lost fourteen and four no results - with sixteen wins from thirty five games, we've won less than half of our home matches since 2014.

By contrast, our away record is very good, with seven wins, three defeats and one no result in 2015, four wins, three losses and four no results last year and five wins and two defeats this year - we've won sixteen, lost only eight and had five no results since 2014, so we're winning away twice as often as we lose - we win getting on for sixty per cent of our away matches and lose only just over a quarter of them.

For decades, what one day success Glamorgan achieved was very reliant on our tendency to bowl better on slow, low Cardiff pitches than our opponents did. Much of this was down to us having good one spinners in Croft and Cosker, but these days, I'd say that most teams we play have better spin attacks than us - seems to me that we need to find a way of getting more pace into our home pitches or we should concentrate on spinners when we look at overseas signings next season.

Yep all true Paul. However the club are hard up and desperately need the revenue. We could very easily be knocked out in the quarter final if we qualify so whilst the abandonments don't hinder chances of qualification they badly damage revenue streams. Let's hope the weather forecast improves. It's top v second with Surrey fielding a number of fine players. Add on the Ingram and Miller factor and I reckon Glammy could pull in 10,000 if it was a sunny evening.

Kent need 90 off 9 but crucially have nine wickets in hand. They are favourites

    Great win.

Was looking very doubtful half way through the Kent innings.

Brilliant decision to bring Wagg back for his fourth over after leaking runs before.

Yep great win and Rudolph had a good day. He batted well again and his bowling changes mostly paid off. Two more wins from five games will see us qualify I reckon. That's four away games and four wins. That's very impressive. Good to see Donald doing well and pleased to see Carey included
