342-7 at the close v Glos, Good to see two local lads among the runs Carlson 137 no and Salter 84. Connor Brown opened and got 35. New name to me. Is he a local lad as well?

He certainly is - currently part of Cardiff MCCU.

Came up through the ranks at Pentyrch Cricket Club. Always looked a tidy player when he was a nipper.

Yes it is great to see and about time

    Re: GLAMMY

Carlson did so well not just to get a century but to then go on and make an even bigger ton. Salter is not good enough to be a spinner but might just might make a specialist batsman.
Brown also did well but Donald has had a disappointing season. Not sure what the problem is because he has the talent.

We need an opener, number three and a specialist spinner for next season.

Nice to see a bunch of youngsters in the line-up, gotta be good for the future.

One question, is their opener English?

Twenty fifth of September and Glamorgan are still playing! A young side have made a good start to their last match of the season - Kent 45-4

Kent got too many in the end at 302 all out. Glammy 18/1. Not a bad effort by the young uns.

Kent 98/6 so 171 ahead. If we can knock off the final four wickets quickly we have a chance. Hogan still showing what a classy bowler he is. One of our best ever overseas signings.

    Re: GLAMMY

I was just about to say that, chasing 179 to win, Glamorgan were doddling towards a season end win at 119-1, when they lost two wickets in two balls. It's now 133-3 with Selman (our best batsman in four day cricket this season?) out for 70.

Seven Welsh lads in the winning team.A really young team too. Hogan with match figures of 10/87. Outstanding.
Really good to see David Lloyd make a decent knock and hit a six to finish the match.
The youngsters like Carey, Smith,Murphy, Brown, Carlson etc have all made good contributions.
Overall a decent season from which to build upon.

A very nice win and unexpected, as Pearcey said it’s great seeing so money local youngsters beginning to make their mark, looking good for next season.

It would be great to have him back as a specialist batting coach.

"Glamorgan chief executive Morris admitted he is looking for some batting expertise"... Good news at last it looks like our problem is about to be addressed.

I'm glad that MM seems to be on the brink.of sorting things out as I believe things weren't that amicable just before he left.
He was a major influence in us winning the County Championship and I'm sure the youngsters will look up to him.

I think we've been the worst batting side in the four day game for two, possibly three, seasons and it's good to see that the powers that be seem to want to do something about it - I also read somewhere that the priority for the new season will be to recruit two experienced top order batsmen.

Glamorgan sign Shaun Marsh as their overseas player for the next 2 seasons.

I feel that is a decent signing that improves the batting.

Very good signing. Marsh fills the problematic opening spot in the four day game but will also be a quick scorer in T20 and one day games.
