Glos already have 5 (as the game will be drawn and they've got 1 bonus point). They'll probably get another batting point at least, and Glammy aren't going to have time to get 400+ runs, and chuck Durham back in again.

Glos only picked up four points. One batting bonus point and three for the draw.

And the reason he found it so easy to sign on again - the 3 year deal for mr Maynard. Interesting. Hope it works well. Summer sport not the same when glammy can hardly string 2 wins together.

Yes he was full of praise for Maynard. It gives us more of a chance next season.

    Thanks for the link Bob.
I see this week Glamorgan have given a 5 year contract to a 16 year old local lad from NewbridgeAlex Horton. I played against him when he was 12 and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. His wicketkeeping was flawless. I said that day that we were possibly watching a future England test cricketer. Glad to see he's progressing in that direction.

I watched the video on the club website of an interview with him, Giving someone of that age such a long contract tends to back up your opinion doesn't it - if he's that good, I'd be inclined to give him a game or two in this Bob Willis Cup because, looking at our fixtures, we're not going to be going too far in it are we!

Feels a bit like the start of summer again.

Somerset away, brings back great memories of that championship winning day in '97 at Taunton. Was it really 23 years ago?
We have gone almost as long as last time since winning it!

A great day that and it's amazing to see an away support like that for Glamorgan in an away Championship match - I honestly can't see us winning the First Division of the County Championship in my lifetime, in fact, I wonder if it will ever happen again given the way the game is going.

Half decent start. Those days in Taunton were magical. Waqar steaming in and Darren Thomas having a stormer. Great times. (Only downside being crofty singing!!

    Re: GLAMMY

Been out most afternoon and come in to find Somerset 155-8 with Rory Smith (sorry, not got a clue how to spell his first name properly ) among the wickets.

Trouble is, if one of the best sides in the First Division are struggling like that, how many are we going to score in similar conditions?

296 all out. Last wicket partnership of 107 in 15 overs. Not ideal!

A lifetime of supporting Glamorgan encapsulated in 15 overs .

At least the openers survived the last seven overs at 8-0.
