Not impressed with Weighell's contribution so far with ball or in the field so I trust he should be one of the two to miss out. Who else would? Obviously not Labuschagne.

Kent 138 all out. Not a bad bowling display!!

    Re: GLAMMY

Agreed, I think it was the first toss we have won all season.
David Lloyd with his career best bowling figures in the county championship ... hopefully he gets some runs as well
    17 for 1 at tea

    Re: GLAMMY

That’s quite some collapse from Kent from 88/1. We need to take advantage and get through this session with only 2 or 3 down by the close.

109/2. Excellent first day. We need to bat most of tomorrow and big up a big lead.

Bet365 have set the run line for glamorgans innings as 233.5. I'd be absolutely delighted if we got within 20 runs

I don't think you're going to be delighted - unfortunately.

It did seem overly high. Lukas Carey and James Harris giving it a bit of a smack mind. Could be very valuable runs.

Could be all over today, Kent are really poor.

How does the pitch play so differently for run scoring compared to last home match??

Sussex got not far off 500 and Glammy posted around 280 and 345. It’s s fair pitch. It has been cloudy for much of the time so the ball has been moving around. I can’t see any penalty for an unfit pitch.
    Hogan still bowling beautifully

    Re: GLAMMY

Lloyd finishes it with a six, Glamorgan win by ten wickets with two days to spare!

    Re: GLAMMY

Strange about the pitch, there's been thirteen lbws so far in this game and eighteen against Sussex which to me suggests low bounce,. The pitch looks a bit green, but I think what's happened in this match is more to do with the overhead conditions - if Glamorgan had bowled half as well as they've done here in the second innings at Northampton, we probably wouldn't have lost there.

Lovely stuff! Nice to get a positive result for the endeavour this season so far in the long form. Despite the two losses the performances have been encouraging by and large. On to old Trafford.

    Absolutely agree.
Outplayed Yorkshire and the weather saved our opponents.
On top for most of the Northants game.
    Outplayed and beat Kent.
We were outplayed by Sussex but even then the game went into the final hour on day four. Sussex are the only other division two side in our group so overall very encouraging.

Is it me or is David Lloyd bowling with a bit more pace this season?

I don’t know if anyone else thinks this, but to me it always looks like he’s about to trip up at the end of his run up!

    Wow.
I just logged on to see the score. Wasnt expecting to see a result! Reminded me of one of England's recent tests in India.
