    Sunday Quiz

Name the the four City players who've captained their country in wins over England (one has done it twice) ?
Also name the Cardiff born (not a City player) player who also captained his country to two victories over the English?

Alf Sherwood yes, Tom the goalie no but you're right inasmuch that the one you're missing isn't Welsh.

I think it must have been a long, long time ago. I know one of the players in the FA Cup Final winning team (Nelson?) played for Scotland in a very famous 5-1 win for them at Wembley, so I'll guess he was captaining them.

I think I read somewhere that Hughie Ferguson never won a full international cap for Scotland, so I'm thinking it might have been someone from Ireland. I believe there was at least one other from that country besides Farquharson in the 1927 side, but I can't think of his name and I don't want to look it up yet.

I remember seeing a photo of him and Fred Keenor exchanging pennants at a Wales v Scotland game in 1920s, both being city players at the time.

One of the only times, if not the only time, both international captains were from the same club and the match was played on their club's home ground.
