    FT: CARDIFF CITY 0 - 2 Q.P.R. MATCHDAY THREAD

Cardiff will recall key players for Sunday's Sky Bet Championship clash with QPR.

David Marshall, Lee Peltier, Peter Whittingham, Anthony Pilkington and Lex Immers were all rested for the EFL Cup defeat at Bristol Rovers on Thursday night.

Midfielder Stuart O'Keefe is a doubt after suffering an arm injury at Bristol Rovers.

Frederic Gounongbe and Kenneth Zohore will contest the main striker's berth as Cardiff seek to open their scoring account under new manager Paul Trollope.

QPR have an injury concern over defender Joel Lynch.

The summer signing from Huddersfield suffered an abdominal strain on his debut in the midweek EFL Cup clash with Swindon.

Boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink can recall the likes of Steven Caulker, Jake Bidwell, Tjaronn Chery and Sebastian Polter to his starting line-up after resting them against the Robins, while Alex Smithies will return in goal despite deputy Matt Ingram saving two penalties in Rangers' shoot-out win.

Polish midfielder Ariel Borysiuk (ankle), defender Jack Robinson (shin splints) and winger Jamie Mackie (ankle) are still in the treatment room.

    • Cardiff have drawn three of their last four home league games against QPR, having last beaten them in January 2008 (3-1, with goals from Joe Ledley (2) and Paul Parry).
    • Hoops boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was playing for Cardiff the last time they beat QPR at home, that day in January 2008, at Ninian Park.
    • QPR have kept five clean sheets in their last seven league visits to Cardiff.
    • Cardiff have only lost one of their last 19 home games in the Championship (W10 D8).
    • QPR's Sebastian Polter's goal against Leeds last weekend ended a run of eight league games without scoring.

Gutted. This game was listed on cricfree.sx so I thought I'd be watching the game today but it's not actually on.

Judging by the fact the players are lining up, that looks like it is right before kick off.

Which I what I thought. I was hoping that maybe it was some kind of pre-game ceremony at least 15 minutes before kick off. Weren't we supposed to have sold 18,000 season tickets?

Not many here. A few blocks empty in Ninian and Family stand.

There are more people in the Ninian where that was taken from. And I expect plenty of people are still on their summer holidays

Someone on facebook said that Mrs Browns Boys was more entertaining, I really hope they are not that bad.

268 minutes without a goal this season, 332 minutes since they last scored a goal in a first team match.

At least the back 5 have helped tighten things up

3 goals in 3 games conceded and only 2 in 3x90 minutes.

Unfortunately same as the Brum game. Teams realise that we are "powder puff" up front and are unable to hurt them.
Once this sinks in, teams pour forward in the second half and get a grip of the game.
We still hung in there last Saturday but not today.
If Tan does not help with a decent striker I fear that we will see quite a few more of these results.
Saying that our midfield did not go forward with any quality or conviction so the problems may be deeper

They were much much worse and I loath Mrs Browns Boys with a passion.
