My mum used to work for a well-known charity and they were told that they (and the volunteers) had to start bringing their own biscuits. Meanwhile the executives up in London used to meet at Claridge's for afternoon tea, chitchats and champagne, all paid for from the charitable donations.

Yeah, many CEOs of these well-known charities are on bigger annual bunce than the PM. That includes Macmillan. I used to give to a well known Welsh children's hospice (also on the list) until someone familiar with their payroll told me what was what. I'll guess mam worked for Cancer Research UK.
