For God's sake can we give the politics a break

The Great British Bake Off has started again and it's only on for an hour.

I'm sure the great financial collapse, WWIII, Israel's domination of the world, the destruction of Europe along with our way of life, and a hellish future for our kids can wait until 9pm.

Besides Merry Berry is drizzling over everybody which shouldn't be missed!

Shit, is that tonight? I stayed on the decks because I thought there was nothing on.

I really hate this shyte heap of a programme. Paul Hollywood - what a slimey cyunt.
Mary Berry a Thatcheresque hag bag , the two silly cow women thinking they are SO funny
but aren't and the stooge contestants.

Hate the whole thing more than Mrs Browns boys so you can see I'm serious.

Baking is the new politics. Why scrutinise events that affect our very existence when you can watch somebody making a bun.

Give me reality TV over reality any day

It's not uncommon for a drissling session leading to a bun in the oven

I think one drizzles rather than drissles.

    Actually.

What I like about the show is that there's so many melodramas. Is that jelly firm enough? Will the souffle collapse? It's edge of the seat television. Hell's Kitchen (series 19, Episode 24) is on ITV 3 right now but it's clashing with Channel 5's Big Brother. Why do schedulers torment us this way?

I'm keeping a keen eye on events in Venezuela for future reference. Three weeks ago their president decreed that all workers were subject to 60 days forced labour toiling in fields if mandated by government. Their inflation rate is running at 500%. The IMF project it'll be 1,600% next year and 3,500 in 2018.

Probably. There'll come a point when most will refuse to work once the bolivar becomes effectively worthless. What then, force them from behind a barrel of a gun? Our lords and masters will be watching with interest.

The irony being of this thread if you searched who posted most about things such as "Come dine with me", "Bake off" or "Xfactor" etc it would be the likes of Gluey, Organ, Splotty and Nelson/heath who pretend they are more intelligent but in reality are experts on shite tv whilst no one else is even mentioning it.

What's the old adage about the best form of defence?
