Thread: Facebook users

  1. #1

    Facebook users

It seems to cater more for chavs, kids and nosey old people these days. Also full of people continuously showing off about where they are and what they are up to (narcissism) 'I've got 600 friends' - no you haven't, people just like nosing at your narcissistic pictures.
Got an account? - time to close it unless you are in the above category of course, just all so unnecessary.

'In a relationship with' - no one cares!! Low IQ required for that garbage

    My missus has got Facebook.

Every time she goes on there she just gets annoyed with it. Says it's just people posting pictures of their food or trying to convince everyone how brilliant their partner/kids/life is.

Sounds like a load of old shite to me.

Never joined and never will. Although apparently there are some pics of a bird who works in Aldi on there that are worth a look.

What has been said is all true, yet people love it. Obsessively.

We have become a planet of show-offs, subtle, or not so subtle.

    Re: Facebook users

I have it but only to have a nose at people I otherwise would never have any contact with. People only seem to post things they believe should be celebrated which are mostly not as good as they make out or post about **** ups in their lives. It makes me feel better about myself. I don't post anything on it though.

I'm only on there these days for the groups that provide me with hilarious memes and Ainsley Harriott photoshops.

That, and seeing how many of my old school 'friends' have 5 kids from 7 different men yet...

Facebook has 30 million UK users - that's nearly half the population. To casually dismiss that many as poor, uneducated and self-centered is an excellent summation.

Although, I daresay if Facebook members were canvassed about how they would characterise a typical football message board user then the results would be just as uncomplimentary.

I know , but the projected apocalypse of a no vote hasn't materialised either.
Incidentally, when we joined how come there wasn't a second vote on the terms of joining ? we voted to join but without any pre-conditions

Facebook and Twitter are both pretty good providing you just follow and don't Tweet/Post imo.

Dunno, I was too young to vote then.

A-ha, so you fall into the 'nosey old people' category, then?

Just follow a few Twitter feeds I'm interested in and it saves browsing. All there innit. Just family and a few friends on Facebook so don't need to bother sending birthday cards or phoning anybody.
