[Elysium]

Often have a beer / meal in The Bell in Tanworth in Arden. Both Nick Drake & Mike Hailwood are buried in the graveyard opposite the pub. Both very talented people from a smalll village, lost tragically too early in life.

I have visited the village and the graveyard on several occasions when in the area. I always find it a touching and moving place.

But one thing is for sure it is the genuine Croesy. He posted a similar message ten years ago about Nick Drake. It was a slow night then as well...

I first heard Drake's stuff when I bought Island's sampler album Nice enough to eat in 1969. The track Five leaves left was on it,it was a sampler album,showcasing bands such as Free,Fairport Convention,King Crimsom,Blodwyn Pig etc,cost less than a quid back in the day,and was well worth it.

I think his early influences were Dylan and Van Morrison.
