Vaz is apparently a Catholic (just like George Galloway pretended to be) , but as you say - he's obviously either upset someone. If he is dumb enough as an MP to get involved in taking drugs with male prostitutes etc - then he needs to go

if i remember right he was the mp that put the blockers on the granvile jenner investigation in the 90s which would have seen him face justice. so he deserves every amount of shite that is coming his way.

See my post above ^^ he was likely "leveraged" into that position to act as a gatekeeper, with a file of dirt hanging over him to keep him in check. As somebody else mentioned, who has he upset?

The crux of this story is payments made to the painters from someone close to the charity Vazeline founded.

I've got some sympathy for him tbh.

I remember when I got drugged by rent boys posing as painters.

Luckily I managed to calm my wife down by convincing her that I was simply indulging in a spot of drug taking and unprotected bumming.

Vaz has just resigned as chairman of the Commons Home Affairs Select Committee - as he surely had to.

Should have gone immediately - now they can look at the lies he told about his mother's house, the 400k flat he managed to buy, using a loan from the 'sale of his mothers house' - which is actually still rented out under contract for the next 12 months.

And then perhaps the home affairs select committee can look into every statement and vote / questioning Vaz has undertaken in that committee room - as sure as eggs are eggs - his like for rent boys and drug taking may have just influenced his decision making.

All tongue in cheek (or perhaps that should be @rse) though - as he will just return to the back benchers where he can pick up his high wages - and then wait for his appointment as Lord Vaz of RentBoyShire or perhaps Baron Von Poppers.

If none of the above happens - then perhaps Keith Vaz AKA Jim - can start a new career as a washing machine salesman. He can do what he wants in his private life - but the hypocrisy of the man is beyond belief.
