Thread: Be careful what you wish for.

  1. #1

Be careful what you wish for.

Was said many times over the past few years.

The chickens are coming home to rhoost now.

Division 1 is calling but still at least we are in Blue.

    Bluebirds.

Only two clichés in that post.

Can you somehow include worst-case scenario in your next contribution?

    Thanks in advance.

Relegation would make it less likely that Tan sells, you do realise that don't you?

Why so? As I recall, he didn't sell when the club was promoted to the Premier League and he hasn't sold while the club has been bumping around in the Championship.

Who is going to buy a debt riddled club playing in a white elephant stadium in the third tier? If we go down it will give Tan the green light for even more cost cutting measures. I fail to see how relegation helps anyone, from Tan, to those that want him gone and the rest of us who are just supporting the team.

When you're at the carousel in the airport looking at all the luggage and thinking that everyone else's is better than yours - a real worst case scenario.

It would make him more likely to want to cut his losses.

Oh it'll help the gloating stay-aways who would love it if we get relegated again

Yes the freedom of self employment, possibly less money but at least not being dictated by a corporate monster, a number, a cog, a meaningless part of a system that doesn't even recognise you're presence or commitment. Every visit is futile, means nothing to the corporate monster. Looking at the amount of small clubs that have been well run and made it up to the golden world of the premier league makes you see it clearly, decent owners and mgt get you all the way. Foreign megalamaniac's re us, Pompey, Leeds, villa, Birmingham get you nowhere......

Are you saying red was the way forward?

You could have sat next to Tan if we had stayed in red. The stadium would have been empty.
