    Tim Farron

Never listen to him before today ,as with Corbyn he has been badged as useless, geeky , by the "" Brad Pitt looking brigade"" , however I did think he spoke well, and at times bravely , with an obvious poke at the floating centralist Labour voter and some of it MP's , interesting times if he does pull votes from the center , with Tories moving right, and Labour moving left ,perhaps we might see a Canada moment.

Lib Dems are my party, but he doesn't convince me LoM. But it's hard for the Lib Dems to be fussy about their leader as they have so few MPs to choose from.

The Lib Dems have massively shot themselves in the foot post coalition. They allowed the media and popular opinion to criticise them and Clegg for entering the coalition, when they should have shown more back bone and stuck up for their position. They allowed popular opinion to form that the drop off in following was due to getting in bed with the Tories. It was due mostly to the fact that the 2010 election proved conclusively that we have an undemocratic two party voting system/tradition and that any vote for the Lib Dems is indeed a wasted vote.

Fallon is a major culprit on this issue and has made political capital from it. In my view they should have stuck with Clegg and all rallied behind him and their choices from the previous parliament. The party just appears fickle to a whole generation now.

I'll probably vote for the Lib Dems, it will be a vote for the future of the party more than anything else.

I wasn't aware of Fallon's past, just felt he gave it a go today ,yes usual rhetoric in its content ,but felt it was a direct speech, and brave to mention the B word..

I also felt Clegg was a good politician and a decent man , but broken by a ruthless Tory machine, took some balls to do what he did , I wonder where we would be if it had been a lib lab pact

It seems the "B" reference is to establish themselves as a centralists. They're appealing to Labour MPs/voters to defect to them in light of the Corbyn shift back to a more socialist bent, as you've mentioned in the OP.

Lid dems could make capital like you say, but without a voting reform which the major two parties won't give us, we'll never have a Canada moment.

Can't say I think Farron is a leader though unfortunately.
