BBC are reporting ( sorry unable to cut and paste for reasons unknown) that the Football League are considering an expansion but it will not include ' non English clubs'.
Specific reference is made to the Glasgow duo but presumably the wording , if accurate, could have implications for Welsh teams as well.

Article already updated ed to mention that us and Newport appear to be safe as already in it. Raises the additional question of what happens if the Jacks get relegated should this proposal go ahead.

You are looking way too much into that. Our status within the English game is assured, as are all Welsh clubs in the English system. What they mean by no more non English clubs is no additional English clubs, IE the Old Firm.

And relax. The Guardian are saying that Welsh clubs playing within the current pyramid system are safe.
