    Just got my tickets for Cardiff next year.

    Life is good.

    That is all.

    Seeing the Blues Band with Paul Jones at Treorchy on Thursday.

    Seen them before - a great night for blues enthusiasts.

    Reminds me of those halcyon days at the Railway Hotel, Fratton. Why Should They Not?

    When I was in Macedonia last week I noticed a poster advertising a blues gig in a small venue there - and the guy (an America) was amazing live.
    Pleasant fellow too - and I bought a couple of CDs from him after the gig.
    It turns out that he is highly acclaimed by Clapton.

    At coming to a tiny venue in the great metropolis of Taunton this Saturday is a young man (British) I have seen twice before - and I think he may be going places too:

    It must be my age but the band (apart from the bass player) all look about 13 to me - although they are very good.

    In the coming weeks I will also be seeing Robin Trower and Walter Trout (both in Exeter but on different dates). I have seen them both countless times before.

    Dead jealous. I saw Trower was on a mini-tour, but a distance from Cardiff.

    Have a look at Guitar Interactive Magazine Issue 44 just out on-line. Features Trower with some informative and interesting interviews.

    Each code is individually sent out and they only work once so you can't just pass them around - unfortunately.

    Rejoined the fan club last week when the tour was confirmed just to make sure I got mine before the rush.

    I wouldn't presume to tell you where to go - I'll leave that to your many poster friends.

    But I would delicately point out that moving from one room to another is not really exercise - or getting out.....

    The only thing you don't presume then, I knew I shouldn't have made that joke..

    Run to the Hills
    Iron Maiden
    The white man came across the sea,
    He brought us pain and misery.
    He killed our tribe, he killed our creed,
    He took our game for his own need.
    We fought him hard, we fought him well.
    Out on the plains, we gave him Hell.
    But many came to much for Cree,
    Oh will we ever be set free?
    Riding through dust clouds and barren wastes, Galloping hard on the plains.
    Chasing the Redskins back to their holes,
    Fighting them at their own game.
    Murder for freedom, stab in the back.
    Women and children are cowards, attack!
    Run to the hills;
    Run for your lives!
    Run to the hills;
    Run for your lives!
