In place of Trollope.

Not at all. The Cardiff Way will prevail.
Of course - proven manager of some repute.
But we don't court any further car-crash scenarios do we? - So, maybe we'd entertain the old fool only if he's learned his lesson about being a greed-fuelled, wide-boy, arrogant liability.
Right now, to kick on from all this, he could do worse than come here.
And we could do worse than give him the chance.
Tan would be unlikely to trust the man though. Not sure I'd blame him either.
Big Sam is dodgier than Malky.... Look how that ended up...
Yes.
The type of manager to turn our under-performers around and pick up enough points to stay in this division.
Also I can't imagine Vinny Tan being a stranger to slightly corrupt individuals amongst his businesses...
Yes and any Cardiff fan who says otherwise is a half bake.
I get the feeling Big Sam won't manage in this country again though.
No manager could get this lot playing. If what TalkSport is saying is proved and thats a big IF the prison teams should have good managers before too long.I think this will be the end of the Premier League as we know it.All that money has ruined it in the end.
I'd have allardyce instead of half our team, never mind trollope
Let's be realistic here, this is modern football. He will be back in the game as soon as a club needs a manager to get them out of a hole. The game is rotten to the core and obsessed with money anyway, so even if the allegations are true , the PR machine will kick in and a relegation avoidance will ensure that Sam A is elevated to sainthood .
I think you are probably right - Allardyce has never been relegated as a manager and, come January or February, there may well be some club somewhere prepared to put the few scruples they possess to one side as the likelihood of the Premier League gravy train passing them by becomes clearer.
However, if there is any truth to the allegations in today's Telegraph about all of these other managers involved, then the possibility that we could be about to see some sort of sea change in attitudes towards bungs and back handers in the game cannot be discounted. These days, we are a country that likes to see the "establishment" come a cropper and the likes of Allardyce and a few others who are, allegedly, among the eight mentioned in the article fall into that category in a footballing sense - it may be that there would be a supporter backlash similar to the one seen at Sheffield United when they looked to be taking Ched Evans back if a club tried to employ Allardyce now.
