They should give them all the money they spent today.

It would be a nice gesture to reimburse the travelling faithful, for putting on a below par performance.

they did not need to do anything, they could have walked of the pitch and gone home knowing full well they will get paid for a crap performance

thus, its a nice touch to give some children the shirts imho

But i would rather walk off the pitch even after a loss thinking we gave it our all.

Couple of the players fronted up by coming over and thanking the fans.
Shame a few gave them a load of abuse, but they are entitled to their opinion.
It's pretty painful at the moment.

I remember Lazio players throwing their shirts to their fans after the team had rolled over and handed an easy victory to their city rivals Roma ... the Lazio fans threw them back at them - I wish the City fans had done the same!

C'mon, let's be honest here, the City players, who came over with their shirts, expected to be applauded for doing so. It would have made THEM feel better and try to salvage some peace of mind for the journey home.
